Abici for art. On Sunday 25th May 2014 in San Martino dall’Argine (Mn) a double event by the cultural association Imprimatvr. At 16.30 H. will be open “Imprimatvr-Lab”, the first lab in the Mantua province. The innovative digital workshop, obtained in the reconverted spaces of the former municipal slaughterhouse located in via Parrocchia 3, will be open to the public and will host a special installation edited by ABICI at the former cold storage, as well as a photographic exhibition concerning the reinterpreted past of the building. Following the presentations of the speakers representing the institutions involved (Regione Lombardia, Provincia di Mantova, Comune di San Martino dall’Argine, Promo Impresa, Fab Lab di Reggio Emilia e Monza) demonstrations are planned through 3D printing. At 18.00 H., at the neighbouring Castello church, the main Gonzagas monument of the town, will take place the opening of the third edition of the Biennale of Contemporary Art “Imprimatvr”. Artists were invited to confront themselves with the late Renaissance architectural structure through contemporary artistic techniques: from paint to photography, through installations, in a process of dialogue strongly marked by the transformation and reinterpretation of space.
